Cuttlelola...say what?

Not sure if you have heard of it yet...but just you wait!!!    I am not making money off this but thought I would share with you a cool tool and super fun too.  This is an electric dots pen.  You turn it on and it makes continual dots at different speeds.   I have included a link below if you want one for yourself or a friend.  This dots pen is electric and takes all the work out of pointillism.  It is simple to use and I thought I would just make a short video on how it works.  You can GO HERE to see the video (don't forget to subscribe and leave some love).  I created this 6 x 8 piece in no time at all.  This product doesn't work with Copics just incase you are wondering.  Of course you can color first then use the pen to add shading, but not the other way around.  Bottom line is its super cool!  Wouldn't this make the perfect stocking stuffer for yourself?!

Where the heck do you buy it you ask?
You can buy it HERE

Holiday Collection Release - DoveArt Studios

It's time for our NEW RELEASE from CCDesigns and DoveArt Studios.
UPDATED - NOW CLOSED  Winners posted below

Introducing the holiday collection!!
Featuring 8 NEW stamps from
DoveArt Studios Collection

We are very excited about each of these new stamps and we know you will want them all!!!

We want to give you a chance to win several of these new stamps so let's get ready to HOP!

Let's begin with our Release HOP!
Each of our Design Team members will be sharing their inspiration with gorgeous projects that feature every one of these new stamps!

Here is what I have created:

This was super fun to make and I am always looking for stamps that work with masculine cards...this one was PERFECT!  I combined it with a few other DoveArt Studios stamps too.  I am putting links right below for a quick and easy access to the store.

After coloring this cute guy up I fussy cut him out (which was easy to do).  I stamped the trees and quickly colored the background up.  I added a little Stampendous chunky white embossing powder to the trees just by sprinkling it on top and heating below.  A little edge distressing and POW! man card DONE!  This would also make a fabulous Christmas card too don't you think?

Thank you all for the sweet comments.  The winners are posted here.  You can contact Christine to claim your prize at christine@ccdesignsrubberstamps.com

I like that you did pastels; it took this stamp over the top. The moose is probably my favorite, however, just like a child in a candy store, I want them all.

This Blog Hop was wonderful! I love the new releases!!! I don't know how you could expect us to pick just ONE stamp as our favorite. I want them all!!!!

Love the way you did this one too, Jenn. Goodness, so many really beautiful images to choose from. I would have to pick the Cardinal Birdhouse as my favorite since I love to color red bird images, followed closely by Making A List since I love presents and hope I am on that list! You are just so talented :)

Always Inspired!

I don't know about you but I find inspiration everywhere.  I bet you do too!  Today I was inspired by my friend Zoe who creates these simple yet extravagant cards just by keeping the focal point with a splash of color.  I love the outcome don't you?!  I also decided to use one of her little chippie sentiments she designs and sells.  They layer so they pop.  I am in LOVE!  You can see her chippies HERE

I love it when someone is inspired from something I do and they mention my name...that is like the MOST awesome compliment and feeling!  So thank you to everyone that continue to leave me love around the web.

This little cutie is by Aurora Wings.  She had a celebration last week and this was a freebie.  YES SNAG!!  I enjoyed every moment of coloring him up...I needed the ME time!  You can find more Aurora Wings HERE

Copic Must Have's - X-Press It Tape Runner

So I know there are a lot of companies offering tape runners so what is different about Copics X-Press It?  Did you know it's 13 yards long?  Along with all the great things about it, it is also heat resistant which means you can use it for embossing...how cool is that?!  I always love having a tape runner in my take-a-long craft tote.  You never know when you are going to need it, right?!  I created this fun card using it and I can tell you it's not coming apart...ever...unless the dog eats it.

I thought I would whip up a card using the great product and so I did!  Here is my owl all carded up and not going anywhere!

Here are some of the features of the tape runner...and you know you need one for your crafty stuff!

X-Press It® Double Sided Tape Runner
  • Extra-strong permanent adhesive
  • Acid and Solvent Free
  • Heat Resistant
  • Smooth application that doesn't "gum up"
  • 1/3" wide x 13 yards

Copic Must Haves - Dipping Pen

Imagination International Inc. has this super cool product for those that want to step outside of their comfort zone and expand their creativity!  This product by IC provides great tools for creating unique, personalized calligraphy for a variety of purposes as well and fine detailed artwork.  Although just grabbing a multiliner can be quick and easy this product provides SUPER fine lines or thicker if desired and the ink is so rich.  I enjoyed creating this little piece of artwork using a photograph I took in 2009 when I worked at the Wildlife zoo.

I know calligraphy is making a comeback and this might be the perfect tool to use!

...AND DONE!!

Here is a link for a good tutorial on how to use it as well as another HERE.  The dipping ink comes in black and white. There are also tip options to create different effects.  Grab your new tools and get started!

ENJOY!!

Lending a Hand

This was a fun card to make with the front piece being on acetate with a bowed out front.  NO it's not gonna fit in an envelope just in case you are wondering but you would love it so much you couldn't give it away anyways.  This is one of the latest releases from Stampendous!  We get to make this fun card at the end of the month but you can grab this stamp and make your own if you aren't local to Phoenix.  Go get your FUN on!!

Copic Must Have's - Transfer Paper

I am thrilled to share with you another Imagination International Inc. product that will really get you going with the flow.  This product will take the “work” out of any art piece you create.  The most enjoyable part of creating a personal masterpiece is not the set up it’s the getting inky part.  How about using transfer paper?  Oh, you say that’s cheating?  Whether you know how to draw or not, why not take away the tedious using a tool to make it quicker.  The end result is the exact same but you have cut your time in half.  Would you brush your teeth with bark if you had a toothbrush available?  Why would we not just simply use this special tool to make things easier to create our masterpiece.  Take advantage of the tools we are given I say!

With this amazing product I created this 11 x 14 piece of framable artwork from a photo I took a while back

If you would like to learn the process you can head over to Imagination International for the full details including color palette HERE

Under the Deep Blue Sea

A new challenge is up over at MakeItCrafty and its a fun one.  The challenge is called "out of focus".  For this one I have been wanting to color up this merged image I had printed for over a year.  I colored the background image with the browns and then colored over it with the water colors in teals.  Then I colored up the Dolphin.  It was really simple.  Now I wonder why I put it off so long.  I hope you will give it a try.
